E. Michael Linscheid is an experienced and professional trial attorney committed to defending the criminally accused.
Mr. Linscheid is a full service criminal defense attorney with experience defending the accused in a variety of criminal
cases in both federal and state courts. Mr. Linscheid's experience ranges from defending individuals charged with serious felony
offenses to traffic offenses. In addition, Mr. Linscheid has assisted individuals with clearing their records, including
record expungments and certificates of rehabilitation and he has also represented individuals facing civil and criminal
forfeiture proceedings. Mr. Linscheid was part of the defense team in a double homicide case where the defendant was
acquitted after a lengthy jury trial and four and a half years in jail.
Mr. Linscheid received his undergraduate degree from the University of California at San Diego. Mr. Linscheid received
his law degree from the University of San Francisco, School of Law where he served as an Articles Editor on both the USF
Law Review as well as the Intellectual Property Law Bulletin.
Mr. Linscheid is licensed by the State Bar of California and is
a member of several legal associations including: the Bar Association
of San Francisco, the California DUI Lawyers Association, the National
Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, and the California Public
Defenders Association.
In addition to being licensed to practice in the State of California, Mr. Linscheid is also licensed to practice in
the Northern and Eastern Districts, United States Federal Courts as well as the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals.
Mr. Linscheid has successfully defended criminal cases before several state superior courts, federal district courts
as well as in appellate, and administrative forums at both the state and federal levels. Mr. Linscheid has been retained
to represent individuals throughout Northern California in the following California Superior Courts: Alameda, Contra Costa,
El Dorado, Fresno, Kern, Marin, Mendocino, Monterey, Napa, Placer, San Francisco, San Mateo, Santa Clara, Santa Cruz, Solano,
Sonoma, and Yolo Counties.
